Walk the (heart) beat - next steps to conquer heart disease

Heart disease has become the No. 1 killer of women in recent years and Banner Desert wants to stop that trend in its tracks! Walk away from the dangers of heart disease by attending this event. Dr. Joshua Cohen, cardiologist, will discuss the signs, symptoms and risks women face when it comes to undetected cardiovascular disease. A physical therapist and cardiac rehab therapists will be thereto teach you the best way to walk for optimum exercise and a nutritionist will share a heart healthy recipe that is perfect for the road. The event will be offered on Saturday, Feb. 19 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Rosati Education Center at Banner Desert Medical Center, 1400 S. Dobson Road in Mesa.
