During the week of April 10 through April 16, more than 550 volunteers serving at Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers, members of Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), will be recognized during Volunteer Appreciation Week.

Volunteers serve in more than 86 percent of the medical centers’ departments and at CHW Urgent Care centers in Ahwatukee, Gilbert and Queen Creek. Last year, volunteers contributed over 106,000 hours, sharing their gift of time with patients, family members and staff.

Volunteers serve in over 89 areas such as the information desk, gift shop, on nursing units, and in administrative functions. Volunteers range from high school and college students to adults and seniors.

To learn more about how you can become a volunteer, visit ChandlerRegional.org or MercyGilbert.org.
