Chandler Regional Medical Center, a member of Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), is offering Expressive Art Therapy at the Cancer Center for all patients, families and caregivers. Expressive Art Therapy, a free course, focuses on the benefits of the creative process versus the final artistic product. Participants are encouraged to use their imagination to help provide emotional release, relaxation and peace.

Art therapy can lead participants through self-discovery, insight and personal growth. The program provides a variety of therapeutic classes including art, movement and music therapy, and a workshop for journaling to the self.

The classes are offered in series of one 90-minute class per week for six weeks throughout the year. Space is limited and priority is given to those whose diagnosis occurred within the past five years. For additional information or to register for a class, please call ResourceLink toll free at (877) 728-5414 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
