The Desert Cancer Foundation of Arizona is having its Learning, Loving and Living with Cancer Luncheon this month.

The luncheon is educational and enables the foundation to carry out its mission of providing treatment resources for uninsured men and women of Arizona.

The Linda Rainford Award and the Edgar H. Hernandez Humanitarian Award will be presented to two members of the community. Both award winners will have shown dedication and commitment, bringing information and awareness for patients and their families.

The luncheon will include guest speakers in the medical field and Chandler Police Chief Sherry Kiyler as the afternoon’s emcee.

The event will be at The Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort, 1 N. San Marcos Place in downtown Chandler, on Oct. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registration starts at 11 a.m.
