Pamela Horton and Foothills Baptist Church, 15450 S. 21st Street, have teamed up to collect slightly used blankets and coats to distribute to homeless people in Phoenix. Horton, who is doing this for the sixth consecutive year, is asking residents to look through their closets and donate a winter coat that is not worn anymore, or a blanket that could keep someone warm at night.

Horton will personally take the donated items to people sleeping on the streets or, where she has found them in previous years, in the valley cemeteries.

If you would like to donate, contact Horton, (480) 759-8296 or Foothills Baptist Church, (480) 759-2118.
