The Phoenix Zoo and DNA on a SHIRT have teamed up to create one-of-a-kind T-shirts that will showcase the DNA of a number of the Zoo’s beloved animals with Duchess, the recently passed Bornean orangutan, as the first featured animal.

DNA on a SHIRT’s clothing line of animal genetic prints called DNA ZOO TEES incorporates the DNA fingerprint and image rendering of selected Phoenix Zoo animals on the front, with a DNA comparative badge and narrative on the back.

Included with the line of shirts, will be Wallable art called DNA WALLABLE ZOO PRINTS. A certificate of authenticity is included with each print.

The Zoo shirts and prints are designed to promote awareness about animals, some of which are endangered or threatened species, as well as showcase our connection, through the comparative badge graphically depicting the DNA percentage that humans share with each featured animal — positioned as a graphic on the back of the shirt.

A pre-release sale will be at http://www.indiegogo.com/dnazootees?a=742318. The Phoenix Zoo will receive 20 percent of the sale of the shirts and prints.
