Ahwatukee Foothills resident Maren Busey, 10, will sign copies of her book, Forgotten Friends: Stories from an Animal Shelter, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at Hissyfitz, 7036 N. Seventh St.
Busey wrote the book to help kids understand the importance adoption and responsible pet ownership.
The Maricopa County Animal Care and Control mobile pet adoption bus will also be on site with great animals ready for adoption.
