AZ RESCUE's G-Team campaign will be available on Groupon Phoenix's G-Team page beginning Sept. 12 through Thursday, Sept. 15. Utilizing G-Team's collective action model, Groupon followers can pledge support for RESCUE's initiative in increments of $10, with each $10 providing one dog with boarding for one day.

RESCUE has no shelter of its own and is a grassroots, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to saving dogs and cats from the kill lists. To date, RESCUE has saved and placed more than 9,700 dogs and cats into permanent homes. On average, Maricopa County has more than 100 dogs on the kill list every day.

The G-Team partnership is part of RESCUE's mission to save dogs on the kill list. The dedicated volunteers provide love and care for the dogs until they are placed into permanent homes. RESCUE depends solely on the support of the community to fund its animal protection efforts.

RESCUE's vision is to elevate the status of animals in society through facilitating a culture change in how people acquire animals and how they commit to those animals they choose to make a part of their family. Through the MatchMaking Service, RESCUE pairs each animal with the most appropriate adopted to achieve a happy, lifelong match. As a result, RESCUE's cumulative return rate is 6 percent, one of the lowest in the nation.
