The Phoenix Public Transit Department is seeking public comment on proposed service changes to city of Phoenix-funded Valley Metro bus routes. Changes are being proposed to implement service efficiencies that support the long-term financial health of the Transit 2000 tax program. Transit 2000 provides the majority of funds for transit service in Phoenix.

Members of the public can provide comment to public transit staff at open houses April 3-19. A list is available online.

Interested individuals may also provide public comment at a public hearing to be conducted immediately following the regularly scheduled Citizens Transit Commission meeting from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., April 12 at the Public Transit Department building, 7A conference room, 302 N. 1st Ave. in Phoenix. The hearing will be held until all comments are heard.

Written comments will also be accepted: Address all comments “July 2012 Bus Service Changes.” Comments can be mailed to the city of Phoenix Public Transit Department, 302 N. 1st Ave., Suite 900, Phoenix, AZ 85003 or emailed to until 5 p.m. on Friday., April 20.
