The Ahwatukee Lions Club will have a booth at the Ahwatukee Farmer's Market on Sunday, Oct. 10, and members of the club will be on hand to answer questions about Lions Clubs.
The club also will accept donations of unwanted eyeglasses and hearing aids and cell phones, so now is a good time to clean out your drawers to assist Lions Clubs International in providing these items to those who need them but can't afford them. The Lions are continuing to collect used luggage, which will be donated to the Kyrene Foundation's foster children agency. Used cell phones are also now being accepted as a fundraiser for Lions charities. For more information, visit ahwatukeelions.com.
The Ahwatukee Farmer's Market is located at the Ahwatukee Community Center and Swim Club, 4700 E. Warner Road. Hours are currently 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
