The AIA Phoenix Metro Chapter and its professional members, who address civic issues such as appropriate mixed-use planning and zoning, transit-oriented development, urban infill, adaptive reuse, comprehensive transportation solutions, and walkability, have endorsed Greg Stanton for mayor of Phoenix.

"Based on the results of a candidate questionnaire and personal meetings with each of the two remaining candidates vying for the position of mayor, Phoenix ArchiPAC (the political action committee for AIA Phoenix Metro) has reached the conclusion that while both candidates seem to genuinely care about the future direction of Phoenix, it is clear to this organization that Stanton supports an informed urban and design-sensitive vision, which will lead to an improved built environment for our entire region."
