While attending the 80th Winter Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton will meet one-on-one with high-ranking federal leaders to discuss his economic, education and public safety policy goals. Stanton will be joining 250 mayors to talk job creation, transit and homeland security.

"For our region to recover economically and be globally competitive, Washington must listen to our needs," Stanton said. "We want to infuse sustainability concepts into everything we do in Phoenix, and I want to make sure Washington has our back and shares our priorities. I also want to make sure our region is on track for investments to expand Light Rail and other transit projects that are vital to our economic future."
