Spencer's TV and Appliance is scheduled to take over the empty Stein Mart shopping center near Ray Road and 48th Street in Ahwatukee, according to Michael Hammett of the city of Phoenix.
Hammett said the plaza is scheduled for remodeling and that the Spencer's location is expected to open in March.
According to Hammett, an architect out of Tucson, David Cowan, has submitted building permits to remodel the outside of the plaza on behalf of the property owner, DDR.
Those permits have been approved by the city.
