Phoenix Public Library has launched a new online resource for jobseekers. Available through the Library's website at www.phoenixpubliclibrary.org, PhoenixWorks provides one convenient site with tools for jobseekers at every stage of the process: applying for unemployment benefits, finding the nearest local workforce center, writing a resume or cover letter and getting ready for an interview.

The site also offers information about online job searching and effective networking. Visitors to the site can improve their career options with a variety of practice exams, ranging from GED to SAT and LSAT. In addition, the site offers electronic versions of training and reference manuals for IT professionals as well as tools to study languages online.

Visitors to PhoenixWorks will need a library card to access some of the tools available. A library card is free to Maricopa County residents and may be obtained by visiting any Phoenix Public Library location.
