Phoenix Public Library kicks off two summer reading programs on Tuesday, May 29. Designed to encourage kids and teens to read during their summer break, the programs feature prizes and go through July 28.

With “Read, Play, Win!” children up to age 18 can earn prizes by reading 50 pages or listening to a book being read for 15 minutes. As a special “signing incentive,” children will receive a voucher for a ticket to a Diamondbacks’ game. Booklogs will be available May 29 at any Phoenix Public Library or online at phoenixpubliclibrary.org/kids.

Teens, ages 12 to 18, can also win prizes by participating in Phoenix Public Library’s “Our State, Our Story” summer reading program. Prizes include best-selling books, Harkins movie passes, Harkins souvenir cups and popcorn coupons, as well as coupons from Sonic and Wendy’s along with other prizes. Beginning May 29, teens can register, log their reading and submit book reviews at phxlib.org/teenreading.
