Many people in the Valley know about Valley Fever, but did you know that pets can also contract the fungal infection?

Randall Thomason, a nutritional biochemist with 30 years of experience in animal health care, will speak at a free seminar at Bark Avenue Pet Supply on Jan. 21 at 12:30 p.m. The seminar will focus on holistic and integrative approaches to treating Valley Fever. Thomason's research led to the development of the Desert Defense products for dogs suffering from Valley Fever. He will be speaking on how to build a pet's immune system, plus holistic and integrative approaches to dealing with the disease.

Call (480) 832-2510 for information, reservations and directions. Bark Avenue Pet Supply is located at 3109 E. McKellips Road, Mesa.
