The latest voter registration figures are out and according to Secretary of State Ken Bennett, Arizona has 3,100,575 registered voters, a decrease of 45,398 since the last report in June.

Of the state’s 3.1 million voters, 1,113,123 are Republicans, 935,098 are Democrats, and 1,025,634 have either registered with independent parties or have not designated a party preference.

Libertarians make up a little less than 1 percent of the state’s total registration with 21,770, while 4,773 voters are currently registered as members of the Green Party. Additionally, the Americans Elect Party has enrolled 177 voters since joining the state’s other recognized political parties in 2011.

For voters who plan to vote in the primary next Tuesday, Aug. 28, polls will open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. To find your polling place, search your voter registration or check the status of your early ballot, visit https://voter.azsos.gov. Early ballots must be received by your County Recorder no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day.

The latest voter registration figures compiled by county, congressional district and legislative district are available on the Secretary of State’s website, www.azsos.gov or by calling 1-877-THE-VOTE.
