The Ahwatukee Community Swim & Tennis Center is proud to present the 7th Annual Valley of the Sun & Copperstate Regional Chili Cook-off and Craft Market, sanctioned by the International Chili Society. The winners from each cook-off will advance to compete in the 2011 World Championship. The cooking begins on Saturday, March 12 at Ahwatukee Park, 4700 East Warner Road, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and then again on Sunday, March 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The chili cook-off is free to spectators, so bring out your family, friends, and neighbors. Tasting kits will be available for $5. Crafters can contact the community center to reserve space, only 30 spots are available.
