City offices, services affected Feb. 17 by holiday

The city of Phoenix offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 17 in observance of the Presidents Day holiday. Not all city services, however, will be affected.

Trash and recycling will be collected as usual. There will be no change in collection day. Phoenix city buses, Dial-A-Ride and Valley Metro Light Rail will operate on Sunday schedules. Express and RAPID routes will not operate. Valley Metro Customer Service will be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Transfer stations will be closed. Ahwatukee’s Ironwood Library and all branch libraries normally open Mondays will be closed Parking meters will be free for the day. The Ahwatukee Foothills News will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.
