Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett today announced that he has named Matthew Roberts Director of Communications for the state office.

Roberts will coordinate public communications for the Secretary of State's Office, and will be a primary contact for media members seeking information on state elections, voter registration and other issues. Within state government, he'll also work with the Library and Archives division to ensure that state agencies and departments are taking proper care to preserve significant documents and other records.

Matt Roberts joins the Secretary of State's office after serving as the Communications Director for the Arizona Republican Party and two members of the New York State Senate. He is a graduate of the State University of New York. His wife, Colleen, two Chihuahuas and cat live in Gilbert.
