Hispanic groups hosting Phoenix mayoral candidates forum Aug. 1

The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Arizona Latino Research Enterprise will host the 2011 Phoenix Mayoral Candidates Latino Issues Forum at Arizona State University West on Aug. 1.

All six candidates for Phoenix mayor have confirmed they will participate in the forum, scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at the ASU West Campus, 4701 W. Thunderbird Road. The candidates for Phoenix mayor are Anna Brennan, Wes Gullett, Greg Stanton, Peggy Neely, Claude Mattox and Jennifer Wright.

The candidates forum is free and open to the public and will be moderated by Al Macias, managing news director at KJZZ, 91.5 FM, and Mary Rabago, anchor for Univision 33 in Phoenix.

Voters are encouraged to propose questions for the candidates by emailing info@azhcc.com or visiting the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
