Dignity Health Foundation EV announces donor of the year award winner

Dignity Health Foundation East Valley, the fundraising arm of Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers, has announced that the Gila River Indian Community is the recipient of its annual Donor of the Year Award. Gila River Indian Community has been a longtime friend of the Foundation, providing generous financial support to Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert.

The Gila River Indian Community initially provided a generous $1 million grant to support the building of Mercy Gilbert. In gratitude for their continued generosity, the Gila River Indian Community Healing Garden was named in their honor.

As the need for hospital beds continued to grow in the Southeast Valley, the Gila River Indian Community again provided an additional $1 million grant to aid in the expansion project at Chandler Regional.

Dignity Health Foundation East Valley was established to provide financial support for capital projects, equipment, programs and services to meet the need and care of the individuals and families served by Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers. The generosity of donors and community partners help ensure excellence in patient care, medical education and research.
