Parenting classes open to community

Temple Emanuel Preschool is offering a six-part parenting series, and the first class will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at Temple Emanuel of Tempe, 5801 S. Rural Road, Tempe. This series is open to parents of children of all ages.

All workshops will be facilitated by Barb Grady, founder of Parenting Plus. Grady is a mother, teacher and counselor. She has been teaching parenting classes and counseling families for over 20 years. She currently teaches parenting classes at North Central Parenting Group, Scottsdale Parenting Group and Temple Emanuel of Tempe.

Topics in the series will include Seven Steps for Effective Parenting and Building Self-Esteem, Raising Appreciative Children, Discipline Techniques That Work, Teaching Money Management, Couples and Co-Parenting and Ask Barb Anything.

The cost for all six classes is $60 per family.
