The city of Phoenix is providing fall internships for college students or recent college graduates as an opportunity to gain experience working in local government.
The unpaid internships are being offered with the Mayor’s Office, City Manager’s Office, the Neighborhood Services, Parks and Recreation, Police, Water Services, and Planning and Development departments, and are being coordinated through the city’s volunteer program.
Most of the internships will begin in September and end in December, with flexible schedules available Monday through Friday. Requirements will vary depending on the internship and applications will be accepted until Aug. 3.
The city’s volunteer program was created in 2011 to better connect residents with city service opportunities and provide them with the ability to get involved directly in their community. More information about the program is available at phoenix.gov/volunteer, by sending an email to volunteer@phoenix.gov, or by following @myvolunteerPHX on Twitter.
