Wells Fargo invested $6M in nonprofits

Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) announced that it invested more than $6 million in almost 800 nonprofits and schools in Arizona during 2011. Wells Fargo team members contributed more than $2.4 million of the total in addition to almost 100,000 volunteer hours to help their neighborhoods and communities succeed.

In 2011 Human Services received the largest amount of donations, totaling $1,546,347. Wells Fargo focused its contributions in the following areas:

• Arts and Culture, $219,043

• Civic and Environment, $216,305

• Community Development, $997,306

• Education, $793,680

• Human Services, $1,546,357

Nationally, Wells Fargo invested $213.5 million in 19,000 nonprofits in 2011, giving more than $200 million for the fourth consecutive year.
