Robert Pizorno, a Phoenix attorney who has worked for elected officials from the local to federal level, will be the new chief of staff for Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio.

Pizorno, 40, of Ahwatukee, is a former aide to Sen. John McCain and also was chief of staff to former Maricopa County Supervisor Fulton Brock.

“Robert brings a great wealth of knowledge about how government works, and should work, and he understands the needs of citizens, taxpayers and businesses,” DiCiccio said. “He will do a great job not only running our office and helping us work for efficient and effective government, but also helping constituents navigate the city systems. It helps that he’s lived in District 6 for more than 15 years, and he knows our issues well.”

Pizorno is married with four children and has lived in Ahwatukee since 1997. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada-Reno and Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.

Pizorno will replace Hal DeKeyser, who is taking a position as senior writer for Gov. Jan Brewer. The District 6 office can be reached at (602) 262-7491 or Council.District.6@Phoenix.gov.
