Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) and the Arizona C.O.P.S. will host the inaugural COPS WALK SOUTHWEST March 10-11, beginning in South Mountain Park. The walk is a physical challenge, an emotional high, and an opportunity to help C.O.P.S.

COPS WALK SOUTHWEST will bring together survivors, friends, and members of the law enforcement community who are willing to take on the challenge of walking 25 miles in two days to support Concerns of Police Survivors. The journey will start in the scenic South Mountain Park and continue along the Salt River Project canals and other scenic and urban areas of Tempe and Phoenix.

C.O.P.S. is currently seeking sponsors and participants for this inaugural event.

Deadline for walker registration is Feb. 17. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of $1,000 on behalf of The original COPS WALK was held in West Virginia in 2005. The West Virginia event raised more than $255,000 in 2011, totally over $1 million in the past 7 years. This event is considered a great success with more than 85 people participating annually.
