The Arizona Capitol Museum is looking for members for its Centennial Volunteer Team at Arizona's historic Capitol.

Volunteers engage visitors with Arizona's history in the building where statehood began, and will help usher in the state's centennial year.

Centennial volunteer guides will lead visitors through the museum and monitor exhibit traffic for a minimum of one day, up to three hours per week, from September 2011 through February 2012. These positions are unpaid tour guides and aides. Volunteers will receive comprehensive training to explain how the territory evolved, and how leadership and governance helped Arizona become the state it is today.

Applications will be accepted until Aug. 12, and training begins the last week of August.

If interested, complete the volunteer application and specify "Centennial Guides" at http://www.lib.az.us/museum/documents/pdf/VolunteerApp.pdf or call (602) 926-3731.
