Phoenix mayoral candidate Greg Stanton released Thinking Local, his plan for growing small and locally owned businesses in Phoenix as mayor. Bringing quality new jobs to Phoenix is one of Stanton's top priorities and local business development is a part of his strategy.

Stanton's plan outlines a detailed approach to small business development. His initiatives include establishing a Small and Local Business Task Force in the Mayor's Office to focus specifically on ways to support and grow Phoenix small businesses, and streamlining the city's required processes for opening a new business.
