Chandler Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the expansion of the Teen Pregnancy Program. In addition to teen childbirth preparation classes, a teen parenting support group is going to be implemented.
TEENS 4 Teens (Teen Education Encouragement Networking and Support) will offer support and guidance to teen moms and their babies during one of the most crucial times in their lives. This support group will concentrate on creating and assisting with positive life outcomes for this underserved population. The programs' goals will focus on preventing or postponing subsequent pregnancies until educational and personal goals are met, promoting positive parenting, providing education on a variety of topics that impact teens today, future plans to provide volunteer mentors to guide parenting teens in securing their goals and providing resources. The support group will meet the first and third Thursday of each month beginning April 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Chandler Regional Medical Center, Morrison building, 1875 W. Frye Road, in Chandler. For more information call Lindsey Robertson at (480) 728-3918.
