State-wide training for guide dogs this weekend at St. John Bosco

St. John Bosco in Ahwatukee will be hosting the Phoenix Guide Dog Raisers this Saturday, March 23 for a state-wide training event.

The Phoenix Guide Dog Raisers is a non-profit organization that supports guide-dog puppy raisers affiliated with Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc.

Volunteers will learn training techniques, methods, dog psychology, and participate in hands-on work with more than 50 puppies.

Cost is $5 for lunch. St. John Bosco, 16035 S. 48th St.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, with the training lasting until 3:30 p.m.
