The Five-Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program is updated each year and serves as a blueprint that details where, when and how funding will be spent over the next five years to improve our state’s transportation infrastructure. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) continues to gather public comments on the tentative 2014-2018 program. There are three scenarios that are being considered for implementation, and all three scenarios are available for public comment.
A final public hearing is scheduled at 9 a.m. Friday, May 10 at the City of Flagstaff Council Chambers: 211 W. Aspen Avenue, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. If you can’t make it to the public hearing, there are plenty of other ways to comment, including emailing FiveYearProgram@azdot.gov, calling (855) 712-8530 or print and mail the comment form to ADOT 5-Year Program, 1655 West Jackson, MD 126F, Phoenix, AZ 85007.
The State Transportation Board will consider all public comments that are received by May 17. The final 2014-2018 Five-Year Program will be approved at the State Transportation Board Meeting on June 14 in Pinetop-Lakeside.
