AAA Arizona is recommending that residents go to fireworks shows for the Fourth of July instead of setting off their own fireworks.
Last year, Arizona passed legislation allowing the sale and use of fireworks within the state.
However, numerous municipalities have made moves to halt this activity by enacting local bans on the use of fireworks, and in some areas, sparklers, too.
Damage or injury from fireworks would commonly be covered under a homeowner's or umbrella policy, but only if damage was found to be accidental.
Therefore, violating government bans on fireworks could not only lead to a citation, but also personal liability should catastrophe strike, according to AAA Insurance.
