Phoenix Police Officers are asking residents to start thinking about Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods, a once-a-year celebration of crime prevention through community involvement.
Block Watches, apartment complexes, neighborhood groups, parks and businesses, etc. across Phoenix participate in block parties to show support for the efforts of those involved in the fight against crime.
G.A.I.N. is also a day for the Phoenix Police Department to show its appreciation for those in the community who support its efforts in the day-to-day fight against crime.
The deadline to submit a packet for G.A.I.N. is Oct. 3. To receive a packet or get more information, visit phxblockwatch.org.
