The Ahwatukee Community Swim and Tennis Center is hosting its first golf tournament and all players are invited. The tournament will take place at the Ahwatukee Country Club, 12432 S. 48th St., on Saturday, June 18 with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit various children programs offered at the community swim and tennis center (a non-profit organization).
These include learning tools for child enrichment classes, equipment for golf, swim and tennis camps and shade structures for the playground equipment located in the community park.
Registration is from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. A barbecue lunch with raffles and awards will be offered after the tournament. Cost per golfer is $65 before May 27 (early bird special) and $75 after May 27.
