To help dementia patients and their families, Homewatch CareGivers has expanded its Pathways to Memory program, a ground-breaking program first introduced in 2005 that offers a set of activities delivered in a nurturing, failure-free environment that stimulates cognitive function for dementia patients. The newly expanded program provides a dual approach, including Specialized Dementia Care and Focused Memory Training.

Staff will present the free seminar, "Understanding Alzheimer's Disease," at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Horizon Presbyterian Church, 1401 E. Liberty Lane. "Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia" will begin at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 31 at the Sunset Library, 4930 W. Ray Road. Chandler.

For more information, visit www.HomewatchCareGivers.com or call (480) 245-6103 or e-mail jcox@homewatchcaregivers.com.
