Ahwatukee Foothills residents won’t have to drive far for a fun night out this summer. Foothills Golf Club will be hosting a night of comedy every last Saturday of the month beginning June 28.

Foothills Golf Club has partnered with Clean Comedy Club and to bring a night of clean comedy, which they are calling Foothills Summer Fun, to the golf club, 2201 E. Clubhouse Drive. The event will begin with a happy hour from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and clean comedy from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

“We’re not just a golf facility,” said Christine Corcoran, catering and sales manager at the Foothills Golf Club. “We have this great facility, and it’s not being utilized like it can be. We wanted to do this once a month just to bring a little fun in. We’re in the middle of your neighborhood. Let’s utilize it.”

Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. During the happy hour, guests can enjoy $4 glasses of wine, $3 drafts and $5 appetizers prepared by head chef Jordan Nahmias.

Each month, the club would like to attach a charity to the event. In June, proceeds from the event will benefit Fix the Hurt, a theater group that raises awareness of domestic and dating violence through their performances. For more information on the charity, visit

Corcoran said if the event does well through the summer, this is something they’d like to continue into the golf season as well.

Tickets can be purchased at any of the Foothills Golf Group courses or by calling (480) 893-9772, ext. 206.
