The Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce’s Red, White and Beautiful event on Thursday, May 9 will feature a fashion show, vendors and a chance to be pampered, all from local Ahwatukee businesses.

The event will be at the Ahwatukee Recreation Center, 5001 E. Cheyenne Drive, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and all proceeds will benefit the community’s Red, White and Boom Fireworks.

The Fourth Annual Red, White and Beautiful will have more fun for guests than ever before. This year, the fundraiser will feature a fashion show at 6:30 p.m. with clothes from Clothes Minded and Expressions Boutique, jewelry from Premier Designs, and hair by Adam Pink and K-Bella Salons.

“We always like to add something new to our events to keep our attendees and guests coming back,” said Anne Gill, chamber president and CEO. “Having the fashion show and working with some of our local boutiques is a great way to let everyone know what’s new this spring and summer and how they can put their best foot forward.”

Guests will also have a chance to enjoy a massage, polish changes and a facial or have their hair and make-up done by Adam Pink or K-Bella Salons. Bobbie Bennett will be taking glamour shots.

The event will also have appetizers from local restaurants and Couple of Bartenders will be serving red wine, white wine and a “beautiful” signature drink at the cash bar. Ahwatukee resident, singer, songwriter and author and founder of Viva la Voice, Beth Lawrence will be performing live music on the patio.

Vendors will include jewelry, purses, scents, skin care, clothing, accessories, health and wellness, color makeovers and more.

“It’s a great community event supporting our local fireworks festival,” Gill said. “It’s a fun way to celebrate mom for Mother’s Day. We all know a mom or someone special who might enjoy a fun day out. We’re supporting local business with local vendors and service providers.”

Tickets are $15 when purchased in advance and $20 at the door.
