Jill (Schooley) Yakus, 60, of Mountain Park Ranch in Ahwatukee, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1 in Hospice of the Valley, Tempe.

Born in Washington, D.C. on July 10, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Violet J. Schooley. Jill attended and graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School, Kingston, Pa., and class of 1968. She was formerly employed with the Social Security Administration, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 38 years, Ron Yakus, are sons Ron Yakus Jr. and his wife, JaeEun, of Gilbert, Chris Yakus and his wife, Jennifer, also of Gilbert, brother Arv Schooley and his wife, Betty, of Jenkins Township, Pa., as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Private services will be in Scottsdale, at the family’s request.
