Ahwatukee, Gilbert and Queen Creek Urgent Care facilities, members of Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), are providing free flu shots at drive-thru clinics to adults in the community. Getting a flu shot is the best way to avoid getting the flu.
Flu shots are for anyone looking to reduce their chances of catching the virus.
It is especially important that individuals get vaccinated either because they are at risk of having serious flu-related complications or because they live with or care for people at risk of developing flu-related complications.
The Ahwatukee Foothills flu event will be on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CHW Urgent Care, 4545 E. Chandler Blvd.
