Actress Jane Seymour will be signing copies of her new book in the “Open Hearts” series and the traditional holiday book, “Good King Wenceslas.”

Last year, Seymour narrated the book for the popular Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert and will stop in two nearby bookstores in Chandler and Mesa next week to promote it along with her own newly released book.

“I just love the story, and thought it was beautiful,” said Seymour about “Good King Wenceslas.” “I think it’s a lovely keepsake to have forever.”

For her own book, “Open Hearts Family,” Seymour said she is proud of the series that begun around five years ago. It speaks to the issues of opening your heart to others, also accompanied by more than 70 original paintings by Seymour and a jewelry line by the same title.

“My mom really imparted to me about when you open your heart, it will help you through times of crisis and give you purpose,” Seymour said. “I’m very proud of the series.”

As a narrator of the story, Seymour was joined by musician Nathan Gunn for the concert last year, set to be released on DVD and aired on PBS.

“It was such an extraordinary experience,” Seymour said.

Before continuing on the tour, and after just appearing on the TV talk show “The View,” Seymour mentioned she’ll be spending the Christmas season in Los Angeles with family before visiting old friends in England.

“The book is so moving, life-affirming and appropriate to the season,” she added.

Seymour will be signing copies of “Good King Wenceslas” and her own book, “Open Hearts Family,” at Deseret Book, 2860 W. Chandler Blvd., Suite 15, on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m., and at Barnes and Noble, 1758 S. Val Vista Drive, from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12.
