Getting started with its second session, which lasts through June, newLife Church is offering a series of classes for all ages through its new university.

Bible studies, life groups, marriage classes, introductory classes, plus more for kids are available at the church throughout the week.

“We wanted to offer a way for people to get connected,” said Amy Disconti, newLife’s children’s pastor.

The church has served the Ahwatukee area for more than 10 years and began offering the classes as newLife University about two years ago. This session’s classes will be ongoing through June 27 and will start up again after a break in July.

Current classes include Every Good Endeavor, a class Disconti described as a way to connect work with God’s work, as well as a class that teaches “keys to successful living.”

“It’s a way to get people involved in going to the next level and offering different classes to life situations,” Disconti said.

Kids can go through the Bible in chronological order on Wednesday evenings for those in kindergarten through sixth grade. Also on Wednesdays, men and women can attend Bible studies or prayer times, and childcare is available for infants to preschool-age kids on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Classes for high school students are available Thursday night where teens learn how to apply biblical principals to everyday life.

“It’s like the next level and we want it to be based on teaching and going deeper,” Disconti said. “My favorite part about it is teaching that the Bible is not just a book, but alive.”

The newLife Church is located at 11832 S. Warner-Elliot Loop. No registration is required for the classes and all are open to the community.
