Phoenix City Councilman Michael Nowakowski announced Monday that he is supporting Greg Stanton for mayor of Phoenix, citing a shared vision for the future of the city.
"Having served on the Phoenix City Council with Greg, I know he is the right person to lead our city," Nowakowski said. "Greg has a long-term vision for Phoenix, and is equipped with the heart, the passion and the leadership skills needed to make it a reality. Greg is well known for working with all sides to make the right decisions - even when they are tough - and I know he will treat our city employees with the respect they deserve as we head into the difficult negotiations we face next year. With Greg as mayor, the people will have a greater decision-making role and lobbyists will have less influence at City Hall - which is exactly what Phoenix needs."
Nowakowski won election to Phoenix City Council in 2007 and has since represented the citizens of District 7.
