A variety of health, fitness and wellness vendors will set up shop at Ironwood Library tomorrow for a community wellness fair in Ahwatukee.

Residents and other interested attendees can browse through several vendors providing samples and information on fitness, nutrition, skin care, health products, safe cleaning products, and more.

“It’s a holistic wellness meet up,” event organizer Christine Marek said.

Marek is part of the Phoenix Rising Wellness group that schedules and organizes different classes and meet-up groups around the area. The group has hosted 159 meet-ups to date.

“It’s about learning from different people about their options for wellness,” Marek said.

Ranging from classes like laughter yoga to hiking events and softball games, the wellness group also gives attendees and other guests opportunities to create their own events.

This being the first wellness fair at Ironwood since 2010, Marek hopes to have more frequent events at the Ahwatukee library.

The wellness fair will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 and last until 5 p.m. at Ironwood Library, 4333 E. Chandler Blvd. It’s free, but a small donation to the wellness group is encouraged as well as an RSVP.

For more information on the wellness fair or how to RSVP, visit meetup.com/The-Phoenix-Rising-Wellness-Group, or call Marek at (480) 688-8147.
