For those looking for the perfect Mother's Day gift for the special woman in their lives, businesses in and around Ahwatukee Foothills are offering a variety of packages and products that just might fit the bill.

Arizona Grand Resort is offering an option for Mother's Day with the theme of the classic production, "Mamma Mia!," which is being shown at Arizona State University Gammage. The Mamma Mia! Waterloo package for two includes a 60-minute custom pedicure, a 50-minute custom facial and a 50-minute custom massage. The cost for two people is $247.

"Our (special) is perfect for mother-daughter and girlfriend bonding," said Bill Price, athletic and spa director at the resort. "Both guests enjoy a hydrating organic pedicure with a blend of citrus and shea butter. The total package is available throughout the month of May."

The Arizona Grand will also offer a Mother's Day lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $44.95 for adults and $16.95 for children ages 5 to 12. To find out more or to make a reservation, call (602) 431-6485.

The Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort's Aji Spa has a mother-daughter revitalizing treatment package that aims to de-stress moms on the go. The "Mom and Me" spa soiree, for moms and daughters 12 and older, includes two 25-minute facials, two 25-minute pedicures, lunch for two in the Aji Café and full access to the spa's amenities, including the private swimming pool, instructor-led fitness classes, steam room and sauna. The package costs $310 and includes gratuities. To make a reservation, call (602) 385-5759 and mention promo code MOMandME11.

The resort is also offering a four-course Mother's Day brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the resort's Ko'Sin restaurant. The cost is $60 per adult and $20 for children for a buffet. For reservations, call Rosina Dee at (602) 385-5726.

For husbands who want to provide a unique experience for their wives, Ahwatukee Foothills' Chef with Benefits, Owen May, is hosting a couple's night on Saturday, May 7. Owen will help the men prepare the meal while the women receive a spa treatment from Dawn Rutledge and Cindy Wojtowicz.

"A lot of the time the man doesn't cook so when he does it's a special occasion," May said. "Women love a man who can be in the kitchen and experiment."

The menu includes mushrooms and garlic aioli, roasted beet salad with champagne vinaigrette and, for dessert, a trio of chocolate truffles.

The event will be at a private home in Ahwatukee Foothills and spaces are limited. If you are unable to make it to the event, there are gift certificates available as well. To find out more, call (480) 250-5867.
