Ahwatukee resident Betty Giles is currently trying to find the owner of a light-tan Chihuahua that her daughter, Paula, found on Ray Road Monday around noon.

Giles, 81, said her daughter was on her way to work when she spotted the female Chihuahua running through traffic on Ray Road, nearly being struck by vehicles.

Giles is seeking the owner for the dog, but due to health problems is unable to drive or leave her house to find the dog’s owner.

Anyone with information to help reunite the Chihuahua with her family can contact Giles at (480) 275-4493.
