The city of Phoenix will host a memorial in downtown Phoenix on Tuesday, Sept. 11 to honor the victims of 9/11.

The memorial will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Phoenix City Hall, 200 W. Washington St., in the Atrium Under the Stairs.

Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, City Manager David Cavazos, and representatives from the Phoenix Fire Department and Phoenix Police Department will speak. A prayer will be given by Father Carl Carlozzi and Rabbi Robert Kravitz will give the invocation and the benediction. An Honor Guard bagpiper will play “Amazing Grace.”

The memorial event marks the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001.
