Heather Malahy, a licensed massage therapist and ART (Active Release Techniques) provider, pushes on a muscle to shorten in, holds it in place, then stretches it out \"to where it should be.\" ART is more interactive than massage therapy because clients move muscles as she stretches them, compared to just lying on the massage table during massage therapy.
