Who provides physical therapy?
Physical therapy is provided by our licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy who underwent 7 years of rigorous schooling (4 years undergrad, 3 years grad) in order to earn their doctorate degrees. They specialize in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating orthopedic injuries.
What type of physical therapy do you offer?
We offer outpatient orthopedic physical therapy to a physically active patient population. We focus on treating any injury involving the musculoskeletal system (muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, bones). We also specialize in assisting patients who are recovering from a variety of orthopedic surgeries involving such areas as the shoulder, knee, and back.
Who would benefit from physical therapy?
Most individuals suffering from pain or some sort of physical dysfunction would benefit from physical therapy. Whether it is a simple ankle sprain, neck or back pain, or they are recovering from a surgical procedure, physical therapy can help to significantly improve your quality of life and speed your return to normal function.
How long should I expect to go to physical therapy?
Recovery time is dependent upon the specific injury. But on average most general sprains and strains take 4-6 weeks to recovery from and most surgical procedures take 3-4 months. But injuries such as an ACL repair can take upwards of 6-9 months of therapy in order to make a full recovery.
Do patients need a prescription?
Arizona is a direct access state, which means individuals can be evaluated, diagnosed and treated by a licensed physical therapist without having to see a physician first and obtaining a prescription (although, some smaller insurance plans still do require this).
Do you accept insurance?
We accept most health insurance plans and cost is dependent upon your specific coverage. But for individuals who are in the unfortunate position of not having health insurance coverage we offer a cash rate of $75/session.
