Beauty Brands raises money for domestic violence shelters

Beauty Brands Salon·Spa·Superstores completed their annual "It Takes Guts" campaign on Oct. 26 and announced they raised $4,943 in donations to support local domestic violence shelters.

From Sept. 29 through Oct. 26 the Beauty Brands locations donated 100 percent of sales from their Redken Guts volume-boosting spray foam to Chrysalis, New Life Center, Catholic Charities and My Sister's Place.

Trios holds cigar night

Trios will be hosting a cigar evening at 7 p.m. on Dec. 16.

The event will be conducted by an Aston cigar representative and an expert whiskey representative. Participants will taste Johnny Walker's Blends (Black, Green Gold and Blue). The Walker representative will give the history and facts of the various blends sampled. Appetizers will be furnished for the event. Each participant will receive 4 cigars and a cutter.

Additionally, they will be raffling off a humidor, a special bottle of whiskey and a Trios gift certificate. Johnny Walker drinks will be made available after the tasting at discounted pricing.
